Day 7 Two Individual Hearts

Day 7 Heart by Mary GowNow on day 7, here’s another painting I created in watercolor and adjusted the look of it with filters.

These two hearts don’t beat as one.

They are two individual, healthy, thriving and separate hearts.

Honoring Courage

Honoring Veterans who have preserved our freedom. Here on Day 6 of my One Hundred Hearts Project, this is a heart I painted in watercolor and then pushed further with digital tools. This is a special day that comes around once a year, yet the benefits of the service of our veterans we enjoy every day. Thank You Veterans!

The Reality of Relativity

Heart No. 5 is again a watercolor painting I photographed then applied a filter to and further manipulated it with Photoshop. Illustrative effects with this filter – reminds me of attitudes. Often it’s not all one way or another, there’s a scale of relativity. Not much is really black or white, instead, much is in a range in between. Life takes us through a spectrum, a range of feelings, teachings, experiences.

I remember many years ago seeing a quote in a company newsletter, “Attitude equals altitude.”

That’s a shortening of Zig Ziglar’s original words:
“It is your attitude, more than your aptitude, that will determine your altitude.”

Choose your filters wisely.

What Feels Like This

It’s Day 4 of my One Hundred Heart Project.

I began this project on November 6th because it’s 100 days to Valentine’s Day – the biggest Heart Day of the year!

So the countdown continues.

Heart No. 4 is bubbling up, full of enthusiastic energy. Remember feeling this way?
