Heart of the Lotus

Heart No. 26 has a natural feeling to it. It’s within a plant. It’s growing.

“Be like a lotus. Let the beauty of your heart speak.
Be grateful to the mud, water, air and the light.”
― Amit Ray, author of “Nonviolence: The Transforming Power”

Watch Marie Forleo’s interview of Seth Godin “Show Up and Do the Work, Even If You Don’t Feel Like It” is here:

Seth Godin inspires me in this interview – to the point I decided to post today’s not so perfect Heart No. 26.

By the way, today I found out I could restore my blog to what it looked like a week ago. It worked. What a relief!

Most importantly I am showing up to stay consistent in my desire to post at least once a week after posting 25 hearts in 25 days in a row.

Keep the faith.

Day 23’s heart is protected by tree branches.

I have a special place in my heart for trees. Growing up, there were many large oaks in the yard. For many years I’ve doodled trees and have hundreds of drawings of them I’ve shared with no one.

When I search on the internet for “tree protection” there’s all sorts of sites about how to protect trees during construction. Yet trees offer us protection – from too much wind, from too much sunshine, from too much rain, and more.

Like trees solidly in the ground, our inner tree branches protect our hearts from the elements.

Let stray hurtful words bounce back to where they came from. Stay open to expressing the love you wish to sprinkle the World with.

The tree within provides a solid foundation no one can touch or destroy without your permission.

Day 22 – Heart Charge

Like a plant emerging from the ground, heart energy defies gravity and drives up, up and ignites others to follow. Day 22 celebrates heart knowing, a knowing that runs deep yet shoots up to the sky.

I see within today’s heart an Olympic torch.

One time about 20 years ago, I saw the Olympic torch being carried through downtown San Jose, Calif., as it was making its way around the world before the Olympic Games later that year. I was surprised by a wave of emotion that came up, happy to witness that moment.

The torch faces challenges to stay lit as it has to be flown part ways, other times, under water.

You can read more about it’s path how it’s being designed differently for the upcoming Olympics in 2021.

What does it take to keep your inner torch alive?
