Recently I read Gary Vaynerchuk’s book, Crush It! “Storytelling is by far the most underrated skill in business,” he said. He reiterates over and over that your personal brand is about being your honest authentic self. “You’ll crush it as long as you concentrate on being yourself.”

Can We Hold Onto Precious Ideas, Images, Etc.
Twice in the past three workshops I’ve been to, someone has asked what to do to prevent someone from stealing their idea or photos. A memorable quote to share is from W. Ross Ayers: “Theft of an idea is not my enemy. Obscurity is my enemy.”
Make Creativity Habit Forming
Almost every morning I put on my running clothes and get myself outside as quickly as possible. Reading Twyla Tharp’s The Creative Habit Learn It and Use It for Life, I can identify this as part of my of my daily preferred ritual. Tharp states: In the end, there is no one ideal condition for creativity. What works for one person is useless for another. The only criterion is this: Make it easy on yourself. Find a working environment wher ethe prospect of wrestling with your muse doesn’t scare you, doesn’t shut you down. It should make you want to be there, and once you find it, stick with it. To get the creative habit, you need a working environment that’s habit-forming.
